L’esprit du voyage

There are lands where the horizon seems never to end, where the evening light tints the rocks blood red and where silence has a taste. Namibie is one of them. In fifteen days, this tailor-made circuit takes you to the heart of one of the wildest and most intense countries on the African continent.

From Windhoek, the road opens towards the Kalahari desert, its golden dunes and nights filled with stars. Heading south next, to contemplate the vertiginous fault of Fish River Canyon, then follow the arid lands of Aus before entering the immensity of the Namib desert. At Sossusvlei, you will feel the warm sand beneath your feet and the silent heat that envelops everything. Swakopmund and Walvis Bay then offer a salty pause on the Atlantic coast, before the road climbs back up towards the rock engravings of Twyfelfontein.

The adventure culminates in Etosha national park: two full days to observe elephants, lions and giraffes drinking at watering holes, in golden light. The return to Windhoek is gentle, like waking from a long dream with eyes wide open.
